Preparing For Nursing School Entrance Exams

There are several different nursing school entrance exams that are given to prospective students. Some common nursing entrance exams include the NET (Nurse Entrance Test), TEAS (Test of Essential Academic Skills), HESI (Health Education Systems Inc.), and TABE (Test of Adult Basic Education). These tests are given to make sure prospective students have the basic skills and aptitudes necessary to earn a nursing degree.

The first thing you’ll want to do when you apply to nursing schools is find out what specific entrance exams they require prospective nursing students to take. Many schools have specific study guides available for their entrance exams so be sure to ask. It also wouldn’t hurt to go online and brush up on any areas where you think that you might be weak.

With the study guides your prospective nursing schools may have available – combined with the resources listed here – you should have plenty of help to pass those nursing school entrance exams with flying colors.
