What is this NCLEX, and why do you need to care? Because you must pass the NCLEX-LPN or NCLEX-RN in order to be licensed as a nurse.
NCLEX Fast Facts:
NCLEX stands for National Council Licensure Examination.
It is the test developed by the National Council of State Boards of Nursing.
It is a computerized test, and the computer decides how many questions to give you.
For the RN it is a minimum of 75 questions and for the LPN exam it is 85 questions.
The method is called “Computerized Adaptive Testing.” The test is interactive, based on your answers to the questions. If you get questions right, it progresses on to harder questions.
You have six hours to complete the test, and you may have to answer up to 265 questions.
